Andy had a special plan to propose to Katrina during his comedy show in Charlotte, Iowa. He arranged a raffle for the audience, with Katrina set to be the final winner. Inside the prize bag, she would find her engagement ring, and Andy would pop the question. To make the moment even more magical, he asked a few audience volunteers to pop confetti when the final winner (Katrina) won, without revealing the true reason behind it.

However, in an unexpected twist, Katrina gave her ticket to her friend Monica, who ended up winning the final prize bag.

Andy had forgotten to tell the confetti volunteers that it was actually supposed to go off as Katrina found the ring. Instead, they popped the confetti when the (wrong) raffle winner was announced!

Andy quickly retrieved the ring from the winning bag and improvised a new plan of expressing his love for Katrina on stage. Katrina was a bit confused on what was happening when Andy approached her, pulled out the ring and ask for her hand in marriage.

The local newspaper captured the entire proposal, and Katrina’s best friend, whom Andy had invited, was there to share in the surprise and joy.
